The gun is a good choice both if you already have experience with airbrushing and if YOU are planning to get new to the field. Because: For the price of a beginner’s gun, a full-fledged airbrush experience can be expected here. The Airbrush ULTRA has the following advantages compared to conventional guns for beginners:
- No tools necessary for disassembly
- Thread with extremely high robustness
- Strong load capacity
- Easy handling
- Very well working lever mechanism
Advantages for airbrush beginners
The condition of conventional guns from the entry-level segment often quickly spoils the desire for airbrushing for prospective customers. Various companies entice newcomers with low prices for the devices. The problem is that the devices are either quickly damaged or even completely broken, are difficult to operate and can only be disassembled by using tools.
All three of these problems are a thing of the past with the Airbrush ULTRA. As is typical for Harder & Steenbeck products, this pistol is also among the top class in terms of quality. Especially the threads, which are typically damaged very quickly in airbrush guns and then have to be replaced, score here with their durability. If, contrary to expectations, a part should break, the gun can be unscrewed without great effort and without the use of tools in order to then insert the replacement part.
Of course, the operation of an airbrush gun is also an important criterion for whether it is purchased or not. While professionals are already very familiar with the equipment, beginners are often put off by overly complex handling when they first try their hand at airbrushing. But not with the Airbrush ULTRA. It is operated quite simply as follows:
The pistol is a so-called double action pistol. One speaks of such when the amount of ink and the air pressure can be controlled by a lever on the top. The lever can be easily pressed with just one finger. When the lever is pushed forward, the air pressure is regulated; when it is pulled backward, the amount of paint that shoots out changes. You don’t have to worry about the ink supply. It reaches the end of the paint through a flow system. Therefore, you only have to fill the color into the goblet and you are ready to go.
